I've been basically doing what I can to keep the kids fed - unfortunately, I've also been unemployed since leaving Wal-Mart. I've been doing music consultant work and Gathering to pay the rent, since my savings are pretty much gone at this point.

Early Music is a term used to refer to European music of the Medieval and Renaissance eras, until 1700, including baroque, but also including plain and Gregorian chant, the madrigals, etc. Some of my favorite performances are by Paul Hilliard and the Hilliard Ensemble, and others by Anonymous 4.
St. Hildegard von Bingen (feast, Sept. 17) is a great representative of the era. She is both creative and prolific. She is the first known female writer of Christian sacred music.

In the 1990s, I sang with the Lady Chapel Singers (http://www.voicesfound.org/Lady%20Chapel%20Singers.htm) and we performed a number of works by St. Hildegard.

Early music is music before the classical era, including Medieval and Renaissance. Are you also Anglo-Catholic?
